Hi, I’m Eric.

In 2016, my world changed forever.

My wife of 17 years passed away due to postpartum depression, leaving me to raise our five children alone. At the time, I was in a corporate HR role—structured, demanding, and suddenly unsustainable.

Navigating grief, single parenthood, and career challenges, I realized the traditional 9-to-5 wasn’t an option anymore. I needed flexibility, autonomy, and a career that aligned with my new reality. That’s when I made the leap from corporate HR to entrepreneurship.

Since then, I’ve remarried and blended my family, gaining new perspectives on resilience, leadership, and the importance of mental health in both personal and professional life. Losing my late wife shaped me in profound ways, and that experience continues to drive my passion for helping businesses build strong, people-first workplaces.

Eric found his way into HR unexpectedly but quickly realized his passion for balancing business needs with the human side of work. With nearly 20 years of experience, he has developed a deep appreciation for the employee-employer relationship and the importance of HR in business success.

In 2016, a pivotal life event led him to rethink his career, inspiring him to launch ImpactHR -- a firm dedicated to providing HR consulting, payroll solutions, and compliance support to businesses of all sizes. Eric thrives on helping companies create efficient, people-centered workplaces while ensuring they stay compliant and competitive in today's evolving landscape.

Lezlee has a lifelong passion for business and people, blending HR expertise with a deep understanding of operations and workforce development. With experience across many industries, she specializes in HR consulting, process improvement, and employee growth initiatives.

Holding a SPHR certification, she is dedicated to building supportive workplaces that balance business needs with employee well-being. Lezlee believes that with the right guidance, every individual and company can thrive.

Jennie ward | ACMHc-e

Jennie is passionate about creating positive workplace cultures and helping people reach their full potential. With a background in mental health counseling and HR consulting, she specializes in fostering work environments that support both business goals and employee well-being.

A lifelong learner, she holds degrees in Journalism and Mental Health Counseling and enjoys using her skills to craft policies, employee handbooks, and development programs.

Outside of work, Jennie loves traveling, playing piano, and indulging in a good audio book.

Justine risenhoover | PHR

Justine is a PHR-certified HR professional with a passion for HR systems, strategic planning, employee engagement, talent acquisition, and benefits administration. She thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments, particularly startups, where she excels at transforming HR functions into scalable, high-performing assets.

With a strong background in HRIS implementation, payroll, and compliance, she thrives on streamlining processes to improve efficiency and structure. Justine has a talent for building HR departments from the ground up, ensuring they align with company goals. She believes that HR should go beyond compliance -- enhancing the employee experience, strengthening company culture, and driving retention.

Recruiter / HR Assistant

Susan Nelson

Susan has always been passionate about helping people and business operations, which led her to a career in Human Resources & Recruiting. With a degree in Sociology emphasizing in Business Management, she found HR to be her perfect fit, allowing her to combine her business acumen with people-focused solutions.

After taking time away from the workforce to focus on her family, she continued supporting others through volunteer work and community engagement. Now, she's excited to bring her experience and enthusiasm to ImpactHR, where she helps clients navigate HR challenges with effective solutions.

Administrative Assistant

Marianne Dewitt

Marianne is the Administrative Assistant at ImpactHR, ensuring smooth operations and supporting the HR Consultants in meeting client needs.

Wearing many hats, she assists with administration, recruiting, onboarding, and client support while balancing life as a full-time mom of two.

Always eager to solve problems, coordinate tasks, and learn new skills, she thrives in fast-paced environments -- just don't ask her for IT support (that's her husband's job!).

Compensation Advisor

Dallin Johns

Dallin began his career torn between Finance and HR -- Finance valued his data skills, while HR recognized his ability to drive results through people. He chose HR but later merged both disciplines into a career in Total Rewards.

With his experience in tech, manufacturing, higher education, and direct sales, he specializes in strategic compensation programs that drive businesses success and retain top talent. Dallin is SPHR and CCP certified, with an MBA from the University of Tennessee and a BA from Brigham Young University.
